Italy Takes Team and Individual Gold
With a total score of 1304.5, Team Italy claimed the gold medal in the second edition of the FEI European Reining Championships held in Manerbio, Italy, from 5 to 7 May. The Individual and Team Gold was only decided at the very end, with the last two horse and rider combinations Nico Horman of Germany and Adriano Meacci of Italy.
With Horman scoring a 214.5 ? thus bringing Team Germany?s composite to a total of 1291 - and Meacci a 218, the final standings were finally known!
It was gold for the Italian team, silver for Germany and bronze for Austria.
The individual standings saw Marco Ricotta (ITA) and Mifillenium win the gold with a total score of 437.5, closely followed by Adriano Meacci (ITA) and OT Taris San Peppy (437) who grabbed the silver while Tina Kunster (AUT) and Lady Lena Twist (431,5) took the bronze.

Following the competition which saw 12 Nations and a total of 41 entries, Michael Stone, FEI Sports Director, thanked all those involved in the organisation of the prestigious event and Mr. Giovanni Sturla for having hosted the show in the superb facilities of Palasturla, where the FEI World Reining Masters Final will be organised in September 2005.

The medals were officially awarded by the President of the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation (FISE) Cesare Croce, the President of the FEI Reining Committee Frank Costantini and President of the Organising Committee Eleuterio Arcese.
